Microfinance Program is one of flagship program in Mahila Chetna Manch. It started as an extending service of livelihood support program. MCM extend support It made a small beginning in the year 1996 by on-lending to rural women borrowers through a nucleus fund coined within the organization called Nari Shakti.

The process of microfinance further continued by expansion and formation of women’s credit groups under Swa-Shakti- a project assisted by the World bank and international Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and Swarna Jayanti Grameen Swarozgar Yojna (SGSY) scheme supported by GOI aiming at empowerment of women by facilitating process of social change.

Reviewing the committed work done by MCM in field of financial inclusion in the year 2003 RMK sanctioned a loan of Rs. 80 lacs to MCM. At Present MCM has raised funds from public and private sector banks as well as financial institutions like SBI, HDFC, SIDBI, NABARD and RMK and has disbursed more than Rs15 crores to rural and urban poor women.

Microfinance program also serves risk mitigation services like insurance to its borrowers. It has tied up with LIC for providing loan cover insurance for member and spouse and Jeevan Madhur Scheme. Jeevan Madhur scheme serves as saving tool cum insurance cover for the borrowers.MCM is also working as Business- Correspondent of ICICI bank where it provides facility of savings in bank at the doorstep through biometric machines.
